Experience something special — an overnight stay in the “sleeping in the hayloft” room, a cozy wooden space where the warmth of wood blends with the homeliness of the countryside. The room is furnished with comfortable beds and accommodates up to 9 people, making it ideal for families, friends, or a small group.
The scent of wood, the peace of nature, and the feeling of simplicity will lull you into a restful sleep — just like in the old days.

About the room
↪︎ SLEEPING IN THE HAYLOFT
Sleeping in the hayloft offers a simple and warm experience, reminiscent of childhood and carefree countryside days—only with comfortable beds. The room accommodates up to 9 people, is furnished with beds, has enough space for luggage, and features a cozy wooden atmosphere.
This charming wooden room is handcrafted with care by our Marjan. The wood is treated with ecological oils, creating a warm, natural, and healthy environment for rest.
A special feature is the cozy anteroom for socializing, playing, or relaxing. It includes books, toys, board games, and a LEGO® Education set to encourage creative play, especially for children in our programs.
Access is via maintained wooden stairs, with a covered walkway to two modern bathrooms, which are also adapted for persons with disabilities.
Sleeping in the hayloft is more than just accommodation—it’s an authentic experience of nature, comfort, and community on an educational farm.
The room for up to 8 people is reserved exclusively for your group and not shared with others. The bed count is adjusted to your needs at booking.

Available dates can be seen below in the booking calendar.
35.00 € / night (adults)
23.00 € / night (children aged 4–18)
Children up to 3 years stay free of charge.
Prices do not include tourist tax, which amounts to:
2.50 € per adult / night
1.25 € per child (7–18 years) / night
Children under 7 years are exempt from paying the tourist tax.
A 30% deposit of the total price is required to confirm the reservation.

Assistance with small farm tasks
Every evening from 5 PM, Mojca goes for a horse walk—you’re welcome to join her
Evening program: relaxing under the stars, campfire, drumming, singing, socializing (for those who want)

In addition, we also offer paid programs:
Family Experiences at Pod Kostanji Farm
At our farm, we don’t offer typical tours but family experiences that make every visit special. Together with you, we get to know the animals, feed and care for them, go for tractor rides, or try horseback riding.
You can choose from various FAMILY EXPERIENCE packages that include guided tours, animal interaction, relaxed time in nature, and numerous activities for both young and old.
Horseback riding is available for an additional €25 for up to 2 hours of activity, which is the price for our accommodation guests. If you want only our FAMILY EXPERIENCES program, you can choose from options we offer.
We also provide a special daily farm work and activity program—an authentic experience where you or your group can participate in daily farm tasks such as mowing, raking, preserving, harvesting, weeding, and picking. The price depends on your desired level of involvement, number of participants, and length of stay.

Access to Our Farm
↪︎ AT THE POD KOSTANJI TOURIST FARM
Our farm is located at 700 metres above sea level, in the village of Zgornji Motnik (address: Zgornji Motnik 12, 1221 Motnik), surrounded by the unspoiled nature of the Motnik Valley.
Access to the farm is possible by car or smaller bus (up to 30 seats). Access for larger buses is not possible, therefore we recommend smaller vehicles for group visits.
All visitors with special needs are very welcome. We provide outdoor sanitary facilities adapted for people with disabilities. Unfortunately, the hayloft sleeping room is not accessible for guests with reduced mobility.
Weather and Climate

Our farm is situated at 700 metres above sea level, giving it a distinctive and pleasant climate. Early mornings are often filled with sunshine, creating a special energy to start the day. During the transitional seasons, as the weather changes, a gentle breeze may appear, pleasantly refreshing the air.
In winter, we still receive a fair amount of snow, creating a fairytale setting for walks with animals and enjoying winter activities.
During the summer months, you can enjoy beautiful evenings outdoors – with no mosquitoes, allowing you to relax on the meadow, watch the stars, or gather around a campfire without any worries.
